Julia Langner, trauma-informed Nashville therapist for women and music industry professionals.

I partner with EcchoLive to provide reduced-fee counseling to live event staff and touring crews, and accept grants from other organizations like MusiCares to assist in the cost of therapy for other industry professionals. If cost has been a barrier to getting support, these programs may be able to help. Learn more about getting help for music industry mental health.

My experience in mental health has taken me on many adventures, and I am grateful to every place I have been able to work and learn over the last 7 years, including: Spring Lake Ranch Therapeutic Community in Vermont, AncoraTN in Nashville (TN) and Porter’s Call in Franklin (TN). These places have shaped my clinical skills, but they have mostly taught me what it looks like to be a human walking with another from despair to hope.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

I’m a Nashville therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, and music industry mental health for women and creatives in Nashville and via Telehealth across Tennessee. I also help clients navigate depression, self-worth, grief & loss, stress, relationship strain, and burnout, meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels right for you.

How much does therapy cost?

Individual sessions are $160 per 50-minute session. I am an out-of-network provider and while I do not bill insurance directly, I am happy to provide a superbill for clients who wish to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. I accept HSA and FSA payments, and partner with music industry organizations like Backline, MusiCares, and EcchoLive to offer reduced-fee counseling to those working in the music industry.

Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?

Yes! I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions to clients across Tennessee. You’re also welcome to mix it up, coming in person when it works for you and switching to virtual when life gets busy. Flexibility is important to me, and I want our work together to fit your life.

How do I get started?

Reach out via my contact form, email, or phone, whichever feels most comfortable to you. I typically respond within 24 hours to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. This is a no-pressure conversation where we can get a feel for each other, you can ask any questions you have, and we can decide together if we’re a good fit. We can also consult and schedule an initial session over email if you prefer.

Client FAQs

You mention women & music industry professionals. Do you work with men?

My practice is primarily focused on women’s mental health, though I do work with men on a case-by-case basis. If you’re a man working in the music industry, I’d especially love to connect. Supporting music industry professionals is central to my work regardless of gender. Reach out and we can chat during a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

Are you LGBTQIA+ affirming?

Yes, absolutely. I am committed to providing safe, compassionate, and affirming care to all clients. You are welcomed and accepted here regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or wherever you currently land on your journey. I’m also happy to provide quality referrals to clinicians who specialize in LGBTQIA+ issues if your needs fall outside my scope of practice.

Can I see you if I don’t live in Tennessee?

Unfortunately, no. Licensing laws vary state by state, and I am restricted to seeing clients who only live in Tennessee.
