Three Things That Feed Me
Self-care is a regular part of the work I do as a trauma-focused therapist, with the ultimate goal of helping each client build a home within themselves that feels safe and empowering. I’m on that journey, too.
2024 marks my fifth year in the helping professions, which means four years of taking self care seriously (because first year me didn’t think she needed it – and oh, did she learn from that!). I’m collecting new ways to care for myself and sharing my top three findings with you each month.
Podcasts
Not a reader? Here are my favorite mental health-related podcasts, some local to Nashville and all hosted by mental health professionals. These can be a great walking buddy and create additional space for reflection. Plus, I’ve been featured on a few!
Bookshelf
Learning about therapy related topics can normalize our experiences and make us feel less alone. Here’s a list of books I’ve curated based on interest and themes that have shown up amongst clients. Some are more educational, while others are more memoir or narrative based. All are lovely.
